Connecting Government Learning Professionals through Technology

Co-located with the GV EXPO, the GLTS is sponsored by the FGDLA and provides two days of learning, networking, and engaging opportunities for distance learning professionals in Government agencies.Our focus is on instructional design, LMS integration, instructional and cognitive learning strategies, gaming and simulation for distance learning, video and animation for distance learning, and much more.The FGDLA is also sponsoring a learning Technologies Arena on the Expo floor and will host its annual awards, recognizing Federal Government agencies, organizations, and individuals for their excellence in distance learning.

FGDLA 2016 Call for Awards

The FGDLA is accepting award nominations to be presented at our awards luncheon during the GLTS on Thursday, December 8, 2016. These prestigious awards recognize four categories of excellence:

Organizational

  • Five-Star: In recognition of an organization for demonstrating excellence in providing continuous support of video production and delivery of distance learning in the Federal Government
  • Innovation: In recognition of an organization for demonstrating excellence in the innovative use of technology supporting video-based content development and delivery of distance learning in the Federal Government.

Individual

  • Pioneer: In recognition of an individual for demonstrating initiative and leadership in the development and implementation of distance learning in the Federal Government.
  • Hall of Fame: In recognition of an individual who has, over several years, made significant contributions in promoting and developing distance learning in the Federal Government.
